This contribution aims to share potential impact of unsynchronized operation for TD-LTE in terms of spectrum efficiency. Specifically, we discuss this aspect from the impact on guard band and power back off to protect terminals to avoid experiencing severe interference from the adjacent operators’ TD-LTE terminals
